Questions

The author put some appealing characteristics into his hypothetical world because he thinks that in the future, everything will be so modernized that there is no need for people to care about what they are suppose to do or not. Not everything from out time will be totally gone in the future.
Brave New World matches the satire model we discussed in class because in the future, we see everyone being happy and having children of their own but in the book, in order to be happy, they have to take medicine and they can't have children the "normal" way, instead, babies are being born in incubators. And children are suppose to like reading and flowers and all that other good stuff, but in the book, they were taught at a early not to like them at all.

the people aren't suppose to care because if they did, they would begin to think on their own. when people think on their own, their persepectives will be different and that would lead to conflict and utopia would not be able to exist. kids were taught not to like flowers na dbooks because they encourage knowledge and the more people know, the more problems they would see in their society.

I agree with what wilson said. The book is going toward a happiness, but it is the happiness of one's idea of happiness. This mean that this happiness is just one person's opinion and not everyone agrees. To make other follow this idea, brainwashing is needed or else they revolt to voice their opinion.

The happiness that the characters are getting in the book are not really happiness, the happiness is only from the soma that they took. The soma in the future that they might can be refering to the drugs that people use these days, like weed and stuff.
